Mousy
It all began when Mousy and his
littermates were found in a field - abandoned at 3 weeks of age. He
nearly died the first week I had him and had to be fed every two hours
with an eyedropper. He had to be 'taught' how to drink water from a bowl
- and even into his adulthood, he would occasionally 'forget' and
regarded the eyedropper as a special treat!
He was always 'my kid' - even
though he was the second oldest in a house of four kitties. The other
girls regarded him always as the baby as well, and would wash and care
for him.
|
He was the center of the family. |
Mousy was known by everyone for
being the 'lovey cat' and would 'hug' everyone he met and pet faces with
his paws. His mysterious health problems that haunted him his whole life
may have been explained by an eventual diagnosis of diabetes; and
ironically, the last two years of his life may have been his best when
he was treated with daily insulin shots.
Mousy taught me about love and
forgiveness.
I think that I will always miss
him.
