Publisher's Note - Joy Joy is a chameleon, taking on a
different form with each person, household or culture. Spiritual by reputation
but chemical at heart, this creature appears to bring balance while contrarily
is anything but settling. When Scrooge is forced to epiphany, he exits his
stable fortress and enters a joyous mania - his very presence causing a stir.
The fiery energy of spirit will flow through the joyous until reaching an
inevitable damper, such as Scrooge was, before enlighten-up-ment. This is equal
to the contagion of laughter, and its unwelcome remedy, the wet-blanket.
Such similarity between joy and laughter can be drawn that Santa Claus - our
very symbol of joy - is associated with the classic phrase "Ho, ho,
ho!". JDC |
