About the Hors D'Scopes... Your Monthly Hors D'Scopes From the beginning, Jaywalker included a nasty Horoscope. Originally titled "Your Lucky Horoscopes", this popular feature brought bad tidings to eager readers. Then, in the catastrophic June 2003 issue, gender-confused newcomer "The Big Brown Eye of Sarcastio" appeared, bringing with her "Your July Hors D'Scope". Sarcasm and negativity disguised the countless puns and hidden surprises she/he/it would deliver on her debut - and her first-day-on-the-job incompetence would go undetected for months. You see, the very first reading "Aviaries" (where birds are kept) was full of puns related to "Apiaries" (where bees are kept). Perhaps this unorthodox breeding of birds and bees was why she was born with a male name...! The Hors D'Scopes became more refined over time, and Sarcastio became "The Mysterious All-Seeing Big Brown Eye of Sarcastio - Your Horoscopic Punnisher and All-Around Mean-Spirited Oracle". A few readers have detected her wily ways, and now unfold each new issue armed with a dictionary and an imagination. |
